The Greater Salem Contractors Association

 Established 1965

The Greater Salem Contractors Association is a group of business and professional tradespeople who organized in 1965 for the purpose of improving communications and the relationship between themselves and the consuming public. The membership represents every facet of the construction industry and its associated services.

Initially, the Greater Salem Contractors Association concerned themselves with improving the public's image of contractors in general. A standard was developed for membership that requires the business to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, offering craftmanship and quality in whatever services they provide.

Today, the organization is one of the Greater Salem area's most respected groups. Their active participation in community programs, service and government affairs as well as fostering the value of family and fellowship has earned them praise and support of public officials, citizens, and customers alike.

"To advance the building industry of the Salem area by providing a forum for the exchange of information and experience of member contractors and associated trades. To secure cooperative action and proper consideration of issues affecting the building industry for the common good of its members"
