Gazebo at Veteran’s Park
Seven in the morning came early for Greater Salem Contractors Association admin Katie Delay and the Historical Society but it was a beautiful day and they were glad to be up and at ‘em for a very worthy cause, rehabilitating the Gazebo at Veteran’s Park.
Event organizer and GSCA President Tom Mosson acted as foreman for the project. Other GSCA attendees included Board Members Jeff Ozella and Rob Hannon with wife Krista and daughter Vivienne, and Katie’s husband Richard, and their two children Richard and Demerice. Several members of the Salem, NH Historical Society were in attendance including Howie and Beverly Glynn and Brian Flanagan on camera duty. We thank them for their warm welcome, genuine enthusiasm for the project and support promoting the event and throughout the day.
Community Volunteers included the Derry-Salem Elks Freedom Riders, John Janigian, Everett McBride, Joseph Sweeney and Tanya Donnelly and media coverage was provided by Salem Life Magazine, Windham Independent Newspaper and Salem Community TV.
Laughter abounded with a passerby joking to Tom, “Now there’s a foreman you can look up to!” and children enjoying the park to run around, plus they had pizza and snacks… what more could they want!
All in all, the event was a HUGE success, thanks to our sponsors:
